'Liberator' is the revolutionaries new name for the juggernaut that used to be known as 'Worldshaker'. Three months after the revolution, events take a new and violent turn. The cutaway diagram shows some of the key locations involved in the story of Liberator -

Everything's changed for Col and his friends, the ones who've stayed on board the juggernaut after the Filthies took over. Hopes of peace and harmony didn't last long; now the Filthies are deeply suspicious of anyone from the old regime. Col and his friends are abused as 'Swanks', and ignored at best, persecuted at worst. For protection and security, they band together in a few safe refuges on board the juggernaut.

Col and his mother, father and sister find sanctuary in the Norfolk Library, along with Professor Twillip and Septimus. As the persecution builds up, other members of the old upper class join them. They lay out mattresses and make homes for themselves between the bookshelves. In the end, very few of them ever dare go outside the library at all.
